ADOPTION OF IMPROVED BUFFALO REARING PRACTICES IN TRIBAL AREA ON RAJASTHAN

The study was conducted with 120 buffalo keepers tribals and 60 non-tribals selected randomly from 10 villages of udaipur district (Rajasthan). The study revealed that majority of both the categories of buffalo keepers was found to be medium level of adoption regarding improved buffalo rearing practice, while separately tribal respondents helogec to medium (58.3%) and low (40.0%) extent of adoption. The non-tribal respondents possessed medium (56.7%) and high (38.3%) level of adoption. The study further indicated that non-triabls has higher adoption as compared to tribals due to their background and personal characters.
