Factors considered important while purchasing processed food by working and non-working women in Ludhiana city were studied on a s ample of 90 respondents. Results showed that taste and price of processed food scored highest rank (2.73 and 2.71 respectively) among working women whereas standardized marks and taste were ranked on the top by non-working respondents (2.71 and 2.68 respectively). Price on labels was checked by 93.33 and 97.77 per cent of the working and non-working women respectively while purchasing.
