A dietary survey was conducted to study the diet and nutrient intake of farm women comprising 60 Non pregnant Non lactating (NPNL) women, 15 pregnant and 15 lactating farm women selected from the four villages namely Golkhedi, Khamkheda, Binapur and Islamnagar of Bhopal District in Madhya Pradesh. Mean food intake was observed to be less than RDA for all the food stuffs by the study groups. The daily intake of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates in all the women groups was grossly deficient in comparison with the ICMR's recommendations. The study revealed that there was caiorie deficiency in the diets of majority of women of study sample. The calorie gap was of about 400–500 Kcal compared to RDA.
