The State Milk Cooperative Federation through primary milk cooperative societies arc doing an excellent job not only in marketing the milk but also providing different types of services in the from of feed, fodder seeds, imparting training etc. to dairy farmers. Data were collected from 20 dairy fanners of Ludhiana district in Punjab. Majority of the farmers received cattle feed of good quality regularly and in adequate quantity. However, about half of them complained that the supply of fodder seed WdS irregular and in inadequate quantity. Farmers were statisfied with the programme of artificial insemination and vdccination of cattle. But were not satisfied with the services of veterinary doctors whose visits were irregular and they did not supply medicines to farmers to treat their animals.
