The majority (90 percent) said excessive burden of work and responsibility, lack of recognition and appreciation in the family (54 percent), conservative attitudes of society towards women and (90 percent) and lack of awareness (82 percent) are the major problems that rural farm women face. Physiological constraints like health, inflammation of legs and giddiness are also faced by the rural farm women as collected information through interview schedule. The psychological constraints included lack of confidence, excessive tension, limited working capital, cumbersome procedure and indigenous and time taking technologies. Thus, it became necessary to find the root cause of the lack of decision making and participation in different chores of life like homestead, farming and animal husbandry related activities.
