The present study was conducted on the reactions of the rural women about Vasde vihere and Pariwaran Layee programme of Jalandhar Doordarshan regarding the presentation, utility and language etc. in purposively selected two blocks Moga-I and Nihal Singh Wala of Faridkot district of Punjab state. Five villages from each block were selected randomly. A sample of 150 respondents in the age group of 25–35 years who were regular viewers was selected by proportionate random sampling technique. An open-ended questionnaire was prepared. Majority of the respondents (75.00 per cent) expressed that the speed of presentation in the selected TV programmes was normal during the presentation. Pariwaran Jayee programme was telecast on every Monday from 5.30pm to 6.00pm and vasde vihere on Friday (twice a month) from 6.30pm to 7.00pm.
