The study was conducted in purposively selected KVK of National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Kamal in the State of Haryana to know the training needs of the farmers undergoing training on improved dairy farming practices. All 80 farmers participated in on-campus training on improved dairy farming practices in 2004 were selected for the study. It was found that the majority of the respondents were in medium and low level of knowledge in breeding, feeding, management and health care. Therefore, there is a training need of the respondents in all areas i.e. breeding, feeding, management and health care to increase the knowledge level, and there is scope to give the training and enthuse the dairy farmers in favour of the improved dairy farming practices.
