PREVALENCE OF NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCY SIGNS AMONG PRESCHOOL CHILDREN (3-5 YEARS) OF KAITHAL DISTRICT OF HARYANA

Clinical examination provides an overall impression of nutritional health and reveal specific signs of malnutrition when these exist and needed for planning promotional measures for the welfare of these children. Total 300 preschool children were selected randomly from four villages of Kaithal district. The respondents were examined for various sings of nutritional deficincies like vitamin A deficiancy disease, anaemia, iodine deficiency disorder and others. Data on clinical examination revealed that few clinical deficiency symptoms were present in very few children.
