Knowledge and perception about MDMP of 200 beneficiaries, their mothers, 30 teachers and 20 functionaries was assessed using separate pretested schedules. About 85 per cent of all the respondents expressed that programme aims to improve attendance and enrolment. Only 28 per cent of them were aware of nutritional importance of the programme. Higher percentage of functionaries (80%), teachers (44%) and children (39.5%) had good knowledge. While mothers (43.5%) were having better knowledge compared to rural respondents. Significant positive relation was found between knowledge of children and their mothers and that of teachers with functioning of MDMP in the school.
