EXTENT OF PARTICIPATION OF FARM WOMEN IN DECISION MAKING

Women play many roles in their daily life such as wife, mother, farm producer, livestock raiser etc. Considering the constructive role being played by Indian farm women in decision making, the study was conducted in Renapur and Ausa Tahsils of Latur district. Five villages from each tahsil and fifteen respondents from each village were selected randomly. In this way total ten villages from two talukas were selected to comprise total 150 respondents. Majority (64.00 per cent) of the respondents were from medium participation while 22.66 and 13.34 per cent respondents were from low and high extent of participation.
