ADOPTION OF IMPROVED BUFFALO REARING PRACTICES BY DAIRYMAN

The present investigation was undertaken to study the adoption of buffalo rearing practices in Nanded district during 2010-2011. The results revealed that the category wise adoption index was feeding of buffalo (60.02) followed by general management practices (58.39), breeding practices (54.10) and feeding practices for newly born calf (48.99). The overall adoption index was 53.97.
