The study is an exploratory survey conducted to find out prevalent child feeding practices among female labourers with irregular work hours. Majority of the labourers belonged to Eastern Uttar Pradesh and parts of Bihar presently working in the university farm at pantnagar. Survey finds that none of the children were fed colostrum, the first milk from mother. Breast feeding was found prevalent among female labourars and was continued solely for about 1½ to 2 years of age.
