Study was conducted in Dirang circle of West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. It revealed that majority (60%) of the respondents had medium level of extension contact with the technical expert of animal husbandry. It was also found that farmers preferred to rear desi cow and were producing little quantity of milk per milch animal. Study also found that dairy husbandry profession was dominated by middle age group and illiterate dairy farmers with a medium level of knowledge towards dairy farming practices
