Training is a pre requisite tool for human resource development of any nation, communities or people. It stands equally true for rural women who are deprived of training opportunities in spite of extensive involvement in various activities. Training needs act as a motivating force for positive impact of training on its beneficiaries. In present study attempts were made to assess training need for household, agriculture and animal husbandry related areas. It was found that the training need was observed to be of medium extent category for most of the messages except for clothing construction improved grain storage techniques and solar devices where in high training need was expressed. Low extent training need was expressed for janta water filter, time and energy saving devices, detergent making, floriculture etc due to lack of awareness among rural women regarding the advantages of these technologies.
