GenetIc analysis of three wheat cultivars, HD 2278, NI 5643 and Hy 65 was carried out fOr resistance to race 40 of stem rust of wheat(Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici) Resistance against the race 40 in all these cultivars was found to be conditioned by a single dominant gene indentified as Sr 11
