Experiment was conducted to assess the magnitude of association and contribution of
traits including diseases of yield in wheat. It was observed that days to maturity, tillers plant-1,
effective tillers plant-1, grain weight spike-1, grain yield plant-1 and leaf blight-1, leaf blight-2,
powdery mildew had maximum coefficient of variation. The high heritability was found for days
to 75% heading, plant height, tillers plant-1, spike length and spikelets spike-1, grain weight
spike-1, number of seed plant-1 and leaf blight-3. Highly significant positive association of days
to 75% heading with grain weight spike-1 and plant height was found correlated with tillers plant-
1 and effective tillers plant-1. However the grain weight spike-1 is significantly positively correlated
with grain yield plant-1. Grain weight spike-1 and number of seeds plant-1 were observed positive
significant correlation with grain yield plant-1 in wheat
