Correlation coefficients were estimated among 17 character pairs in 21 genotypes of lentil grown over two years. Seed yield was positively associated with number of secondary branches/plant, plant spread, number of fruiting nodes/plant and total biological yield/plant. In general, these component traits were also strongly associated between them. Since the genotypic and phenotypic corrdations follow same direction, visual selection for these traits could be useful for improving the seed yield in lentil.
