Forty genetically diverse genotypes of chickpea were evaluated for genotypic and phenotypic variability heritability and genetic advance in 18 quantitative characters. Highest genetic variability was expressed by 100-seed weight and was followed by seeds per plant. These characters also exhibited high-predicted genetic advance with highest heritability by 100-seed weight.
