Correlation among the parents, F1s and F2s of 10xl0 diallel cross and the path coefficient analysis were studied in the case of pea. The seed yield/plant was positively and significantly associated with pods/plant, harvest index and primary branches/plant. Pods/plant had the highest direct effect followed by harvest index on seed yield. The selection criteria based on pods/plant, harvest index and primary branches/plant will give fruitful results for yield improvement in pea.
