GROWTH AND GROWTH ANALYSIS OF RICE -FALLOW BLACKGRAM AS INFLUENCED BY FOLIAR APPLICATION OF NUTRIENTS WITH AND WITHOUT RHIZOBIUM SEED INOCULATION
1Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar - 608 002, India
ABSTRACT
Field experiments on blackgram were carried out dUring 1999 -2000 to find out the effect of foliar application of N P Kas Hileaf with chelated micronutrients (Microsol B) with and without Rhizobium seed inoculation on growth and growth analysis of rice -fallow blackgram cv. ADT3. The treatments consisted of foliar application of DAP on 30 and 45 DAS (Days after sowing), Microsolon 15, 30 and 45 DAS with and without Rhizobium seed treatment and a control with no foliar application and Rhizobium seed treatment. It was found that Rhizobium seed treatment and foliar application of Microsol (N P K and chelated micronutrients) recorded markedly higher 1AI, DMP, YIELD, NAR, CGR and RGR in both the years. No significant difference between treatments was noticed on relative growth rate in the early stages viz., vegetative and flowering.
