The genotypic co-efficients computed between eleven yield contributing traits were further split in to direct and indirect effects of each character on the green pod yield. The number of pods per plant had strong positive direct effect as well as indirect effect through various traits on green pod yield. The other traits namely, number of branches per plant, pod length, pod weight and number of seeds per pod also had strong positive influence on green pod yield.
