Mungbean, Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek is an excellent source of high -quality vegetable protein in Asian diets. A native of Indo-Burman region, mungbean is grown and used by people in south, south east and east asian countries. In India, it is grown in about 2.89 m. ha annually with a production of 1.10m tones.
