Field experiments were conducted during 2000–2001 to evaluate the effect of organic manures (vermicompost and FYM) and fertilizer on the uptake of nutrients and crude protein content in black gram. Highest crude protein, N, P, and K concentration and uptake were recorded in the trealmenl that received Vermicompost @ 2 t ha−1 along with 100% recommended levels of N, P and K.
