Field experiments were conducted for two years to study the interactive effects of nitrogen and sulphur on yield, harvest index, total N and S-uptake and protein content of chickpea. The results revealed that 15 kg N ha−1 and 40kg S ha−1 significantly increased seed yield, N and S uptake and protein content over control during both years, in general 15 kg N ha−1 with 20 kg S ha−1 proved the best combination with respect to various parameters of chickpea taken into consideration.
