In an induced mutation study in blackgram [Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper] effect on M, plant traits viz. injury. lethality and pollen sterility were estimated and their possible relationship with M2 mutation frequencies were worked out. Results of analysis indicated existence of significant positive correlation of both M1 injury and pollen sterility with mutation frequency in M2.
