Field experiment were conducted during winter seasons of 1995–96, 1996–97 and 1997–98 to study the effect of method of application of biofertilizers on the seed yield of pea and results revealed that soil application of bio-fertilizers is superior to seed treatment. Soil application of Rhizobium and PSB mixed with 25 kg of FYM increased seed yield of 20.5 and 23.5% respectively over the 50% NPK application, while in seed treatment of Rhizobium and PSB increased seed yield only 5.6 and 11.5% respectively. Bio-fertilizers mixed with FYM 500/0 NPK applied in soil recorded seed yield at par with 100% NPK application.
