ABSTRACT
Soybean seeds harvested from a field trial consisting of 3 seed rates (60, 75, 90 kg/ha), 2 row spacings (30, 45 cm) and 2 sowing times (1st week of June, 3rd week of June) were equally divided into three parts and stored in airtight tin containers, gunny bags and polythene bags. Seeds were tested for their germination percentage at one-month interval from harvest till next crop season. Seeds obtained from crop sown in 3rd week of June resulted in significantly higher germination per cent than seeds obtained from crop sown in 1st week of June at the end of the study. Similarly seeds stored in polythene bags also resulted in higher germination percentage over other storage containers.
