Cite article:- Joseph Salikutty, Peter K.V. (2024). PHENOTYPIC STABILITY ANALYSIS IN SETS OF PHYSICAL MIXTURES OF PURE LINE VARIETIES OF COWPEA. Legume Research. 30(1): 73 - 75. doi: .
Evaluation of two, three, and four component mixtures of cowpea involving three aphid resistant and two aphid susceptible purelines, for phenotypic stability analysis indicated that two component line mixture (one resistant and one susceptible) in 1:1 ratio showed 83.13% resistance to aphids. Use of physical mixtures of pureline varieties of cowpea offer a wide scope as a cultural practice to deal with pest problems, which may otherwise lead to toxic health hazards, due to increased use of insecticides.
