Destoning of aonla (Embalica officinalls) is a time comsuming task. The fruits are popular and have therapeutic value. A gooseberry seed/stone remover cum slicer machine was developed using nickel coated stainless probe. Experiments revealed that performance of developed hand operated machine resulted in a faster removal of the stones. The probe consists of three parts a cylindrical penetrating portion, screw of base and thread. The total length of the probe was 135 cm. The dimensions of the penetrating probe were as follows 10 cm and 40 cm length. The plunger shaft was 60 cm by 10 cm and 35 cm. The pulp recovery in the developed manually operated aonla stone cum slicing equipment was 89.89%.
