Biochemical analysis of seed storage polypeptides of three Vigna species through SDS-PAGE revealed difference in banding pattern. There was variation both in the number and MW of the polypeptides. The major components of all the three species were in the MW range of 66–32 kD. It was evident that gel electrophoresis of proteins could be a useful tool in species identification
