The field and laboratory experiment was carried out in seed crop of lablab during June 2004 with two levels of nitrogen and potassium (6,12 and 12,18 g pit-1, respectively) and three levels of phosphorus (12,18 and 24 g pit-1) comprising seven treatments (F0 to F6). The result revealed the significant superiority of the NPK combination @ 12:18:18 NPK g pit-1 as basal with 6N and 8K g pit-1 as top dressing at 30 days after sowing increased the seed yield (604 g) and the quality characteristics of the resultant seeds viz 100 seed weight (37.66 g), germination (94%), root and shoot length (29.2 and 31.6 cm, respectively), drymatter production (163 mg seedlings-10) and vigour index (5530).
