The different blocking agents viz., BSA, gelatin, skim milk powder and acetic acid were used in dot-ELISA for detection of IBD virus from field samples to find out the sensitivity of the assay. Gelatin and BSA were equally sensitive and skim milk powder was found to be one fold increase in terms of sensitivity as well as intensity of colour reaction. Glacial acetic acid (diluted and undiluted) has produced only mild colour reaction with less sensitivity.
