On farm trials were conducted to study the production performance of crossbred pigs (87.5% Hampshire Inheritance) under two feeding system i.e. balanced ration and 50% balanced ration + 50% local available feed (Trial I). In Trial II, comparative growth performance of crossbred and local pigs reared under locally available feed was carried out. Both the trials were conducted in farmers field under typical village condition. Results indlcated that average body weight at one year of age of two feeding groups were 67.73±12.28 kg and 50.87±11.33 kg respectively in Trial I and Trial II and there was a significant difference. In Trial II, it was found that crossbred performed significantly better than local pigs under similar management.
