SEROPREVALENCE OF PESTE DES PETITS RUMINANTS IN MAHARASHTRA

A total of 440 serum samples of sheep and goats were collected and screened by cELISA for
seroprevalence studies in the Maharashtra state. The cELISA developed by IVRI, Mukteshwar
was used in screening of serum sample for PPR seroprevalence studies. The overall PPR
seropositivity 64.31 per cent was recorded during the study period. The PPR seroprevalence of
62.56 per cent was recorded in sheep and 65.51 per cent in goats.
