DOG REARING PRACTICES IN AKOLA CITY OF VIDARBHA REGION

The German Shepherd and Pomerian which are medium and small breeds of dog,
respectively are mostly preferred in Akola city of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
About fifty percent dog keepers preferred young male dogs of 2-4 years of age. Majority
of the owners offered mixed ( Veg + Non-veg) feed to their dogs. The results will
help the dog breeders to plan their future breeding strategies.
