SOCIO ECONOMIC STATUS OF DOG KEEPER 'IN AKOLA CITY OF VIDARBHA REGION

ABSTRACT
The dog keepefs in Akola city of Maharashtra were mainly Government servant and
businessmen. The main purpose of dog keeping was hobbys and very less for protection. It was
also observed that 55 per cent of dog keepers reside in houses, 39 per cent in bungalows, 4 per
cent in. flats and 2 per cent in quarters. The 88 % of dog keepers had annual of income more than
Rs. 1.5 lac per annum.
