Buffalo calves naturally infected with T.vitulorum and classified on the basis of clinical signs
into mild and moderate ascariosis were treated with Levamisole @ 7.5 mg/kg b.wt orally. The
PCV and various biochemical parameters (Calcium, Phosphorus, Triglycerides, Cholesterol, SGOT,
SGPT, Glucose, Total bilirubin, Total protein, Albumin, Globulins and A:G ratio) were estimated
before and 3rd and 7th day of treatment so that these values were not influenced by reinfection
under natural conditions. These values were compared with the normal values. The results
indicated either slight decrease, or slight increase or maintenance of status quo. Many of the
parameters did not return to normal values.
