The present study was conducted in Western Dry Region of India to explore the characteristics of dairy farmers. Personal interview schedule was distributed to 240 dairy farmers and collected data was scored, tabulated and subjected to statistical analysis. The methodological approach of this study was descriptive. The data of 240 dairy farmers revealed that maximum number of the farmers has participated in gram panchayat (first ranked) and Village Development Officer (ranked first) was the most contacted source from whom the farmers tryed to find information to clear their doubts. In case of mass media, majority of the dairy farmers were regularly obtaining relevant information from television by viewing farm telecast (ranked I)
