A laboratory and field experiment was conducted at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh during rabi 2016-17 to study the effect of different pre-sowing seed treatments on six months old IC 411724 variety quinoa seed for its germination, yield and yield attributing characters. Among different chemicals seed treatments soaking in 1 % KH2PO4 (60 %) followed by distilled water  (54.7%) in 1:1 ratio (seed to solution) for 6 hours recorded significantly higher percent germination in the laboratory. In field study pre-sowing seed treatment with 1 % Na2B4O7.2H2O in 1:1 ratio (seed to solution) for 6 hours recorded significantly higher seed yield (3262 kg/ha) followed by 1 % KCl in 1:1 ratio (seed to solution)  for 6 hours (2669 kg/ha).
