ABSTRACT
The present investigation was conducted during 2005-06,2006-07 and 2007-08.The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with six treatment replicated four times using variety CO -2. The experimental results revealed that the treatment control produced maximum height of the plant, spread, stem girth, volume of the plant and number of the branches, except treatment having four branches was at with height characteristics. Yield characters viz maximum number of pods and lowest yield efficiency was recorded in control treatment. Highest yield efficiency and length of pods were recorded in one branch treatment. Keeping of five branches produced maximum weight of pods and yield of pods except treatment with four branches, which was at par with each other.
