Fifty four genotypes (10 lines, 4 testers and 40 crosses) were evaluated against Alternaria blight and wilt disease in field under artificial epiphytotic conditions. Out of which 28 genotypes were found resistant, 23 moderately resistant and 3 moderately susceptible against Alternaria blight and 29 genotypes recorded as resistant, 16 moderately resistant 8 moderately susceptible and one as highly susceptible against wilt disease. Among the crosses, however, twelve crosses showed resistance to both the diseases.
