The present study examines the regional variations in development and income from agriculture
and factors associated with the variations in Haryana. The study revealed that even in a small state
of Haryana there existed wide variations in development and income from agriculture between
different regions. The observed variations in production and income are the direct outcome of
growth of necessary infrastructure and input supply arrangement. However, the gap in infrastructural development, production and income in different regions of Haryana has narrowed in later period. The major policy thrust in Haryana should be on enhancing irrigation facilities and other agricultural infrastructure in the southern region of the state.
