A field trial was conducted during kbari/1993, to evaluate the efficaql of HaNPV and
Btk alone or in combination with insecticide in the management of sunOC;;wer head bor'!r,
Hel/coflerpa arm/gera (Hubner). The results revealed that, two applications (first given at
button stage of the crop and second 10 days later) of HaNPV @ 500 LE/ha recorded lowest
damage to heads (31.6%) and highest seed yield of 3.1 ~ followed by two applications of
HaNPV @ 250 LE/ha + Btk @ 0.5 kg/ha and two sprays of HaNPV @ 250 LE/ha + endosulfan
35 EC @ 0.5 lit/ha. Two applications of HaNPV @ 250 LE/ha failed to give an appreciable
control.
