Studies on population fluctuations of red pumpkin beetle on muskmelon,re\leal
that the overwintering beetle become active at average temperature 200C and
relative humidity 89 ;-~ cent. Maximum population of beetles were at average
temperature 28.8°C. Correlation of pest population with temperature was positive
and relative humidity was negative. Regression analysis revealed that there was
significant effect of temperature and non significant effect of relatille humidity on
pest population.
