The scaffold bending in Pathamakh plants was carried out during 1990–91. Modified leader system (T 3) trained plants were compared with the horizontal bending of main scaffolds only T 1) and tnaln scaffolds alongwith two secondaries T 2). Significantly higher stock girth, angle of inclination, tree volume and precocity was achieved in T 2 in comparison to T 3 in T 2 88.9% trees came into flowering during 1995 and 100% in 1996. In T 3, only 63.9% trees flowered in 1996 and 100% in 1997. Tree volume in T 2(29.76 m 3) was one and half time more than T 3 (19.13 m 3).
