Allelopathic effect of Goat weed, Ageratum conyzoides on gennination of soybean (Glycine max var. Gaurav) were investigated. The aqueous extracts of different parts of Ageratum were prepared by dipping the plant parts in distilled water in 1: 10 w/v ratio for 24 hours. The.aqueas extracts produced significant allelopathic effects on gennination of soybean. Upto 9 DAS, root extract resulted in highest gennination. All extracts produced stimulatory allelopathic effects on soybean upto 7 DAS.
