Reid experiment was conducted in Kharif season of the year 1992 to evaluate different herbicides and cultural practices for weed management in soybean crop. Results of the experiment revealed that application of Alachlor with its higher dose (@ 1.5 kg a.i. ha −1) recorded highest values for growth, yield attributlng characters, yield and weed control efficiency, followed by pendimethalin @ 1.5 kg a.i. ha −1, A1achlor @ 1.0 kg a.i. ha −1 and pendimethalin @ 1.0 kg a.i. ha −1. Among the cultural practices hand-weeding at 20 and 30 DAS was quite effective for controlling weeds.
