To ascertain the yield gaps between front line demoristrations (Fill) and farmers's field, extent of technology adoption and extension gap, field studies were carried out in gram crop at 102 farmer's field in Fatehabad and Hisar districts of Haryana during the last five consecutive years ie. 1994–95 to 1998–99. Results of demonstrations reveal that on an average, seed yield of gram in FLO was 22.9 per cent more than farmer's practice. Highest technological gap (2010 kg) was found in variety He-1. In each variety extension gap was lower than the technological gap, so still there isa need to educate farmers in the adoption of improved technology especially var. HC-1.
