Forty genotypes of chickpea were evaluated in a randomized experiment for 18 quantitative traits. Data subjected to Mahalanobis D 2 analysis, resulted in the formation of 12 diverse clusters. Genotypes from U.P. distributed in most of the clusters showed greater diversity among them. Maximum intra-cluster distance was recorded for cluster IV, while highest inter-cluster distance was observed between cluster VIII and XII.
