A field experiment was conducted to test the suitability of BRASSICA model for B. campestris var. brown sarson at Hisar. The study revealed that the prediction of phenophase development in B. campestris had higher deviation during initial phase of growth. Likewise, the prediction of leaf area index (LAI), total biomass production, yield and yield attributes were not within the acceptable range of accuracy implying thereby the need for modifying the genlatic coefficients used in the model.
